Paris Saint-Germain Edges Olympique de Marseille via Spot-Kicks to Lift Trophee des Champions Super Cup in Kuwait.

Trophy celebration scene

PSG has now won the prestigious cup on fourteen separate times.

The Parisian giants needed a stoppage-time leveler followed by a perfect spot-kick decider to overcome Marseille in Kuwait and capture a record-extending fourth consecutive Trophee des Champions title.

The European champions seemed to be coasting towards a straightforward triumph in the showdown featuring the French league winners and the Coupe de France winners after the French winger found the net in the opening stages.

Yet, the southern French side struck twice late to seize a shock lead. Initially, Mason Greenwood scored from the spot-kick, before Willian Pacho inadvertently turned the ball into his own net for an own-goal.

In a breathtaking twist of fortune, the Portuguese striker grabbed a crucial leveler in the final seconds to force the match into a penalty shootout. PSG goalkeeper Lucas Chevalier then stood as the key figure, stopping decisive kicks from Matt O'Riley and Traore.

In the shootout, Ramos, Vitinha, Nuno Mendes, and Desire Doue all converted with composure for PSG to seal a convincing penalty victory.

The record winners PSG, who met last season's Ligue 1 runners-up Olympique de Marseille after completing a league and cup double, have now won this trophy for the twelfth time in the last 13 years.
